NEWSLETTER & WEBSITE CONTESTS

The contest has been open since September 1 and we only have 10 newsletters and 15 websites entered.  You have until 10/15/05 to submit your group’s newsletter and/or website in the contests.  You'll find the criteria and how to submit your website and newsletter contest entries at

http://www.apcug.net/events/conference06/contests/news_web.htm

We have a lot of wonderful newsletters and websites in Florida. Please talk to the appropriate people and enter. We want to show all how terrific Florida groups are!

ELECTIONS

You still have time to take the plunge and throw your hat into the ring to run as either a Director or Advisor in the upcoming elections.  You have until 9/30 to enter.  Please go to http://www.apcug.net/APCUG/election/05/index.htm for detailed information. We have one person who has put their name in from Florida. This is a terrific way to become involved and even learn more about APCUG and how it works. I know I have really enjoyed my first year and look forward to many more to come. A good candidate would perhaps be your APCUG liaison for your group. Check with your members and see if you can drum up more interest.

ANNUAL CONFERENCE – JANUARY 2 – 5, 2006 AT THE STARDUST RESORT AND CASINO

You have until October 17 to take advantage of the Early Bird registration rate of $70.  Conference information is at:  http://www.apcug.net/events/conference06/index.htm  I am going to be at the conference. This is a terrific way to start the New Year and come back with some wonderful ideas for your group. Please consider going. My husband and I plan to arrive on the first and look forward to meeting many Florida members at the conference. There is a lot for the non computer spouse to do so don’t let that be a reason for you not to attend.
