Ask The Expert - Using Microsoft Word "Paste Special"

by Cyndi Schmitt

I am making a song book.  I go on line and get the words from various sites.  These songs come out with different printing -- some are Bold, some are big, some are small, some have a border around them, etc.  I would like to make the words look the same.  Is there something I can do to accomplish this goal?

I have thousands of songs that I would like to do this with.

Thanks,
Del

If you’re using Microsoft Word, use the “Paste Special” feature. Rather than click the paste button, select Paste Special from your edit menu. A dialog box will pop up with an assortment of options. Select “Unformatted Text.” This will paste the text into your document, but strip off any formatting.
