TBCS in the St. Petersburg Times!
Dave Gussow wrote an article for the St. Pete Times last Monday titled "The computer support tech next door". The article included a photo of Ron Kalmin sitting in the midst of his repair clinic in the TBCS Resource Center.
Our Random Acts of Kindness clinics were mentioned, and quotes from Ron, Jan Norman, and myself were included.
If you already lined the birdcage with the paper, but you would just LOVE to know why anyone would bother quoting Ron, Jan, or Doc, let me assure you that the article is saved for posterity on the Internet.
The online version doesn't include the snazzy picture of Ron Kalmin, but the full text can be found at:

Howard Poindexter will schedule a return of his hands-on, Basic Paint Shop Pro if there's enough interest. I believe we've already had a couple of requests. Please email the club secretary (tbcs.office@verizon.net), and we'll see about scheduling a 2nd class soon. The opportunity to take a hands-on class in Paint Shop Pro may disappear in the near future so take advantage of it while you can. This class is a total of 4 hours of instruction at a cost of $20.
You can see our current classroom schedule and register
online by surfing over to:

Digital Photo Resources Page Jack Rowland, photo technology manager for the St. Petersburg Times, was the guest speaker at our General Meeting last month. Here's the photo he took that night plus a whole gaggle of links he recommends for digital photo resources: printing sites, photo recovery software, plug-ins, and more.
Thank You, TBCS! The club received 2 "Thank You" emails from people that we helped. Doc read both of these emails to our members at the September 2003 meeting.
Startup Programs Do you have too many programs running when you boot your computer, but you don't know which ones you actually NEED? This site tells you what all those cryptic names stand for.
