It was announced this afternoon in Kissimmee, Florida
that the Tampa Bay Computer Society (TBCS) took a blue ribbon in
FACUG's "2003 Home Page Contest". FACUG stands for the Florida
Association of Computer User Groups.
Congratulations to our Webmaster, Sue Raskin.
While a network of support people helps keep our web current by supplying
the necessary information and content, the ultimate responsibility for
both structure and design of our web belongs to Sue.
The first place prize that was awarded to our club
includes an Adobe software suite of their top products:
Photoshop 7.0, Illustrator 10, Go Live 6.0 and more. Retail value over
$2,000.
Take a bow, Sue!
TBCS also took 2nd Place in the
"Community Spirit Award" (the honor included $100 cold, hard cash).
Our entry for this contest was the Random Acts of Kindness Computer
Clinics that we do around Pinellas County. There are too many people
to thank for this award on short notice. I'll see that gets done on the
more permanent web page we put up to commemorate the event.
Thanks to FACUG for recognizing our group, and thanks to
the many people at our end who made this all happen.
Sincerely,
Doc
