Free Computer Clinic & Open House
Saturday, October 27, 2018
9 am to 2 pm
This event will take place at the Tampa Bay Technology Center (TBTC) on 2189 Cleveland St. #229, Clearwater FL 33765 (See Map).
Bring your friends & neighbors for a day of free seminars & free eats! This event is open to all – you do not need to be a TBTC member to attend.
While the TBTC Tech Crew slaves away fixing our guests’ computers, we will be fattening up both your stomachs and your minds! That’s right: coffee & donuts in the morning, hotdogs, sodas, desserts, and pot luck in the afternoon, and everything is FREE!
FREE Computer Repair
Registration for free computer repair is now closed. All available slots have been filled.
Note: In order to be fair to everyone, free computer repair at this event is open to non-members who have not previously received free service. If you have previously received service we invite you to join TBCS where each member receives one free repair each year, with extra repairs available for a copayment of $20.
9am: Earlybirds may join Doc (Dave Dockery) for coffee, doughnuts, and viral videos that include music, animals, and lots of laughs.
10am: Creating videos to pay for the startup costs of your dream business by Tony Rockliff. Tony teaches video creation that's simple to learn, fast to create, and easy to sell. His method needs no video knowledge and there's no video equipment that you have to buy.
11am: Lunch - who says "there's no such thing as a free lunch". We will provide visitors with free refreshments and entertainment until the next seminars.
12pm: “How publishing can help you build authority and extend your reach” by Kytka Hilmar-Jezek. Kytka will educate you on the latest advertising and marketing trends, showing you ways in which you'll stand out from the crowd in today's media.
1pm: "What's new with Microsoft - Windows, Office, and much more" TBTC member, Charles Oppermann, is one of the original developers of Windows 95, and one of our most popular speakers on Microsoft products.
Open House Events
The Tampa Bay Technology Center (TBTC) holds our Random Acts of Kindness event in conjunction with an Open House. Please join us for refreshments, and bring your computer questions even if you don't need to bring your computer.
Come and tour our facility. We have two meeting rooms where we hold user group meetings and classes of all types. The classroom and the main meeting room are also available for rental to outside groups. There is a computer lab for hands-on training, and a Media Center where members can convert all types of media such as vinyl records and audio cassettes to CDs and VCR tapes to DVDs.
